I just bought a 4310 and the first time I put the bucket down to scoop some rock I noticed the front tires turning under power, I had the MFWD in the off position. Thanks to this thread I was able to diagnose the problem quickly. I too found wires (pins) pulled slightly out of the connector (57M8214 FoUR-WAY, FEMALE), however pushing them back into the connector I did not hear a click or snap when they seated. I then took the connector apart by prying gently on the side of the purple lock. I found two of the locking tabs for the pins were broken and would not hold the pins in place. So, just over 5 dollars later at the JD dealer and I had a new connector. These connectors do not come with pins but I just snapped the old ones in place.
If you have had these wires pulled force-ably from a connector you may want to check this.
Congratulations on the new tractor, I love mine
That is why it is so important, for future use, to post what it took to fix and not just the problem.
