That is Cool! I love those RZR's but unfortunately the only chance I get to ride one is the at the Polaris demo rides.

The only problem I see here is the RZR only has a 300lb payload capacity so subtract the weight of that rack and now you are down to about 200-250lbs.

I believe the stock machine is rated at 350 lbs of cargo payload. That is probably because of the plastic bed. This bed puts most of the load into the roll bar not the rear of the machine. There fore the weight of the rack is negligible. The machine total rated load including occupants is 780 I believe. That means with a single driver that don't weight to much this rack will carry far more than 350 lbs safely. I own a kubota 4x4 with loader for the big hauling jobs anyway.

Agree on the weight issue. Suggest you don't put much weight on it up that high. Don't want to end up looking like this one:

Also, keep an eye on your trailer hitch receiver, if you haven't already reinforced it. The early ones were notorious for bending and failing... new ones may have fixed the problem. I think they were only rated for something like 150 lb of tongue weight, and one weight shift on a trailer could damage them.

The trailor hitch issue was one of the first things I read about along with the POS air intake they apparently originally came out with. The rear bar of the bed is pined into the hitch but also has two roundbars that slide into the frame rails to transfer the load into the frame and off of the hitch. I plan to weld a 2 inch reciever to the rear bar for pulling a small trailer.

great idea on rzr bed. my rzr has the rear bars or i would be wanting one. put those pics on the prc.com site under rzr mods. i am sure the other rzr owners would love to see your set up.

The new rack has worked out great for the daily farm chores. One of the best benefits I have discovered thus far is it is a great place to put the seats when you need to check fluid levels or do scheduled maintenance.

Another thing I have discovered about the RZR is it makes for an awesome mobile hunting blind. I tie leave camo panels around the cab and over the nose of the machine. The setting postion and roll bar are perfect for getting off a clean shot. You also have a nice cup holder for your ice cold beer.
