Comparison of corrosion preventative compounds

I am going to do a little comparison of some corrosion preventatives to educate myself. I wanted to get some input from the members that form TBN. I've been a bit of a FF chearleader lately so I thought I should know how it stacks up.

The best canidates I have on deck for testing are:
Fluid Film
Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector
Corrosion X

On the shelves in my garage I also have:
Amsoil Metal Protector
WD-40
Liquid Wrench
MMO penetrating oil the aerosol version
Deep Creep
BP Blaster

I'd love to try products like Krown but since its not available to me that one is out. I was thinking of trying to locate a can of Rust Check at Walmart or Kmart and adding it to the mix.

I have 3 mower blades I just removed from my Z445 I am planning on cutting into smaller pieces to apply each product too. I was going to hang them on a stand in a field on the property. I have a 1/2 acre section that is bowled and holds allot of moisture. Seems like a prime site for testing.

Is there any other products I should consider that are readily available? The 1st 3 are the only true corrosion inhibitors of the bunch I have now. Any and all input is welcomed and appreciated.

Which kind? The clear form used in aerosols or the milky white kind used in products like armorall and many car polishes including but not limited to Nufinish and most everything from Turtle Wax. I have all of the above already, I just wanted to clarify which form.

I was considering plain old white lithium grease as well.

I spray my chute on my snow blower and it works well in making it slippery but also keeps the rust down.
On my woodworking tools saw-jointer planer and shaper I use paste wax and that also works well,try both

After a bit of thought I don't know if a car polish would be a good idea only do to fairness. The other products are all penetrants, lubricants and corrosion inhibitors. An auto polish might or might not be decent corrosion inhibitor but is anyone going to sling it all over their tractor trying to lubricate and protect it? I wouldn't. The aerosol silicone may have merit since it provides some of the same qualities that the other lubricants do.

If you can get it, you might add 'LPS #3' to the list.
I've used it at sea in a high salt spray application and it would hold up very well.

This year I am trying 'gravel guard' as sold for auto fenders.

B4 you point out the coarse finish, I'll mention that alpine and cross country skiis also sport the textured finish.
Main purpose is to break suction.

Also believe that liquid bed liner would do the trick.

SunnyJim, could you please add LPS3 and Rust Check to that list also? Both those products have been recommended highly (I personally like Rust Check a lot) and I would really like to see how they fare in a side by side test!

It will take a while to distinguish between some of those. That is one reason the salt spray method is used for testing. Nice project - i am looking forward to seeing the results. I use fluid film for ag equipment and 350 corrosion inhibitor from CRC for machining equipment (they also make a more waxy 400)
