Hey, no offense taken here. One thing you learn pretty quickly on this site, is if you throw your ideas out here, you better be ready to handle the criticism that is soon to follow. But, there is criticism and constructive criticism. I can control neither, but the latter I welcome. I look at it as a way to possibly improve my projects.

I guess my thinking is when the tractor is at work with the ballast box simply remove the wheels so they don't get damaged.

The point of filling the "tubes" is a great idea and I too thought of wooden dowels.

I like what Achers has done with the wheels and box. Any attachment on wheels is a bonus.

I don't get it. You can pick it up real high and nothing should get hung on the wheels. You would have to fall into an extremely deep and dangerous hole for the wheels to strike.

Depending on the area your working in.

Holes aren't the only obstacles to contend with. Especially if you're in the woods.

And, with it hanging off the back of the tractor, when the front goes up the back goes down.

No biggie to take them off or put them on. You never when Murphy is going to strike.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I always keep my weight box low, so its less tippy, and it drags from time to time. If I had wheels, it would need to be high, so it didn't damage them.

If it works for you, then thats all that metters. :D
Glad you are happy.
