By the time it all melted I had just about exactly an inch and a half of water in my rain gauge from yesterday and the day before.

Unfortunatly, the snow didn't make it another hundred miles East. The kids are very hopeful that we'll get snow, but since it didn't happen today, there's a 20 percent chance of snow for friday.

They're calling for up to an inch here on Friday, and we're south of San Antonio

The last I heard they were calling for about 4 inches in Austin
for tomorrow.

Portland, Maine had a record high of 68* today. The old record was 55* in 1986. Here away from the coast our high was 58* today. Not too shabby for 3rd of December!

You folks in Texas just keep that snow down home It looks so much prettier there.

I know it's not the first time you all had snow down there, does any of the towns or state highway dept have snow plows?

I live a stones throw from Galveston and it snowed a couple of inches last December. I believe we may get a couple this year too. However, on Christmas Eve, 2004, for the first time in 110 years, it snowed on the Island. Naturally I'd never seen snow on the beach before and certainly not on Christmas Eve.

Glad I haven't put all my motorcycles away yet (actually, I never do).... may have a chance to ride tomorrow! Rode all three last Sunday; a bit cold, but the roads are still dry & clear!

I agree- snow in Texas looks very pretty, Bird- enjoy!

We finally got some white stuff up here in the north. Sure is different from last year. When we got snow starting first of October. Need to get snow shovels out. Install snow blade and blower. Even though there is no snow on walkways and drive. They are still to warm for snow to stick.
