I have been considering getting a snowblower and found a Erskine brand 3pt that is pulled forward to use. Anyone have experience/opinions on this brand/model?

If you search around there are threads on these, I know as I had strongly considered. Nobody has anything bad to say about Erskine products or company AFAIK. The rear pull models have a strong appeal - less neck turning and drive away from the plume of snow. I ended up going conventional mainly for cost and for clean-up work after truck-mounted plowing (to remove banks) where I thought rear-facing would be easier to lift up and back into a bank. Those who have them seem to love them and the often-noted issue of packing snow with wheels first isn't an issue - blower still cleans down to the scraper set level. Can be an issue is huge dump or drifts or plowed mounds/banks as have to go through first but presumably still have an FEL.

Hey pitt_md,

I've got one of the older ones on the farm. I tried to use it behind a 9N tractor but without live pto it did not work so good. We are west of Grand Forks ND and you are more than welcome to this one I have. It's a 5', it needs a spring to put tension on the divert-er for the chute but other than that it's ok.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the offer. I am looking for something a little bigger though. 6' - 7' would be good.

I'm pretty sure it's about 5', it was the same width of
a 9N. I think you would be happier with a backup blower
than the pull type. Or a front mount if you can find one.

Would be happy to help you with either a rear pull or front mount.
pm me.

I just ordered an erskine rear pull for my L3400, no mid pto for this model.
Should have it in a couple of weeks. I do over a mile of road and would not even consider a rear push. I got tired of tearing up trucks with plows , not so much the dirt road but me beating on the trucks. I will do a post when it's up and running.
