I have a Mahindra 6520. I often have to drive the tractor about 10 miles on a curvy highway to get to a place I'm working on. In the summer its pretty easy to turn around and watch for traffic so I can pull over and let them pass. In the winter its a little bit more difficult to do being all bundled up. I'm getting kind of tired of folks passing me and telling me I'm #1 as they pass. Does anyone have any ideas or pics of mirrors they have mounted to watch your six for traffic?? I dont have a canopy on my rops so I was thinking of trying some kind of magnetic mount on the left loader arm, something I can remove easily after the road trip. Any ideas and pics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I just put one on both my loader mast and my canopy for the little time I'm in the street.
On JD there's already a handy hole on the loader masts, just bought a couple of dif types of mirrors at auto parts stores and have been experimenting.
It's not perfect but does help. On the canopy there's also a bolt right in the 2 front corners, one I used to mount an extra light and the other the mirror. The way I have them on the loader was easy to try but it would be better if they were mounted outward more.

Only a couple of pics so far, none of the one on the canopy.

Like JB4310 said I put my on the frame of FEl like he put his but I added about a 4" extension so mirror could be angled left or right seemed to help get around the side of tractor . Use 3/4 " angle iron some piece of tubing smashed the ends of tubing ,1 one direction the other end opposite.

Either way it is better than nothing. Driving along the side of the road and with the nuts that are behind wheels anymore. VERY Scary !!!!

Good luck have fun and be safe !!!

I mounted mine on the bracket that spans the FEL arms on my little Kubota B7510. I understand that many don't have that bracket. The idea of a magnetic mirrors sounds good to me.

That's gonna wear the tires down pretty quick! Do you not have a trailer? If not, might be a good excuse for Santa to get you one! :D

bicycle shops sell a rear mirror, head mounted, just keep it in your tool box and wear it with your favorite hat.

Get a welding magnet from HF, take out the bolt and spring and mount one of those bike mirrors in the magnet. Then it will mount just about anywhere on the tractor and you can take it off at will. Just a thought -- I have lights mounted in those magnets but I do not need a mirror:eek:
