NH TC34DA 34HP HST, 2 rear remotes, front diverter, loaded R4's
I usually fill the tractor outside incase I drop the can or something. Last time it was pretty cold out and I did it inside. Very careful. Left the fill an inch below the spill catcher. Came back today with a puddle on the floor.
Fuel lower than I filled it to. No visable dripping. Attached is parts drawing of tank etc. 11 and 12 is the spill catcher. Fuel was not filled above that.
Filter bowl is ok. I am pretty sure I did not dump any in the spill catcher .
Started fine ,ran around and did some firewood chores. Will see what happens next. Anybody else ever have something happen like this?

Part #12 looks like it goes into the tank to drain the spill catcher?

The only thing that comes to mind is if the fuel was cold when you put it in and then warmed up causing enough expansion to overflow. By the time you looked at, it was cooled off again. It's a stretch, I know.

Next time you have a puddle on the floor, inspect the bottom of the tractor better. The stuff didn't just appear there, there has to be some evidence of a drip or a track or something somewhere. Could there have been a plug of debris in the spill catcher drain that trapped some spilled fuel, then allowed it to pass to the floor slowly while the tractor was unattended?
