We got about 3" at the most :(. I plowed though, so all was not lost.

Steve

Steve, you got 3" more than we did! With the rain yesterday and overnight we're down to MAYBE 2" on the ground, with lots of bare spots.

5 years here and what do you know, we actually have a couple of hills good for sledding (first time we really had any good snow).

Nephews came up to visit late today from Charlotte (over night visit), and the first thing they did when they got out of the van was take their sled out and run behind the house!

Have a light down back and I'm going to take them night sledding:D

Yesterday we got about 4", and I'm becoming a dang southerner because I didn't even have a gameplan to clean off the cars.

Looks like you have a great hill for the kids to go sliding on. We have 600ac of farm land around us and not a good sled hill in sight. My kids would slide down the hill into our shop maybe a whopping 80' ride.

Havent had more than an inch of snow yet. still waiting to get the Yanmar out of the garage. I did ask for a new implement for christmas though. :D A middle buster. It is small enough to bring in the house and wrap. I guess if i see a big box, it will probably be mine.

Here's a little collection of pictures and snow. We have actually lost a great deal of snow cover over the last couple of days. It was 37 degrees here in southern MN on Christmas day. And it was raining. I'm sure it has happened before, but I have lived here all my life and never remember it raining on Christmas. The warm weather sure cleaned off all the snow on my steel roofed garage in a hurry. I probably had 2-3 feet of snow drifted up on the south side of the garage. The warm weather combined with the rain, sent the whole mass sliding down the roof all at once. Not sure what the mass weighed, but the gas flue (double wall pipe) for my hanging garage furnace didn't slow it down. It folded it right over at the roof line. Took the storm collar and cap right off with it. So no heat in the garage this winter. Oh well, spring is only 3 months away.

I put a metal roof on three years ago, only downfall is that I have to shovel the roof as well as the walkways. As soon as it milds up enough the snow slides perfectly back on the walkway. The first couple of snow slides in the middle of the night were freaky until you realize whats going on.

So........that's why you put a wing on your tractor. To make it easier to get the tractor up on the roof! :D
