Congrats. I bought mine in March08. A strong machine. Got the ML250 FEL and a 6-ft Hawkline brush hog. Neglected to get the skid steer quick attach on the FEL so I had to have that installed a few months after the tractor was delivered. Also had my dealer (Daves Tractor) install triple hydraulic remotes and weld bucket hooks (I supplied the hooks, Dave did the welding).

Enjoy your new tractor.

Congrats. If I was to get another tractor I would probably get a 5525, but so far my 3215 has been able to do everything I have needed. Enjoy!!

Hey Flusher, where did they weld the hooks at? i want to add hooks to mind, just wondering if there is a place not to put them and a place only to put them. thanks

On our ML266 had hooks welded on each end - side of bucket adds strength. Any where else on the top lip you have nothing below it to take the stress of the load on the hooks.

I thought about the sides, but was afaid the hooks might hang up on things, you are right about the strenght part on the sides. thanks

Like this:

Two grab hooks on the outside, one anchor hook in the middle. There's a 1/4" thick stiffener welded to the bucket then the hooks are welded to that stiffener. I bought the hooks at AW Direct

Gunnebo-Johnson Grade 80 Weld-On Anchor Hook w/ 4,400 lb. WLL - 3-3/4"H x 5"L - Mfg# 589357

I also had the Mahindra skid steer quick attach hardware added to the FEL (~$1K).

That QA is real handy--for example for the hay bale squeeze I built earlier this year

Finally, I had triple hydraulic remotes installed by the dealer ($750)

Flusher - are the fenders steel on a 5525? Also, what size is the rear tire?

Thanks,
