Hello, I'm new to forums so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm looking at a YM1700 and a YM2310D now I realize that these are considerably different but so is the price. The YM1700 is $3500 and includes a box scaper, and the YM2310D is $5500. Both appear to be in pretty good condition with similiar hours. I intend to use with a snowblower, scraper, and possibly adding a loader at some point. May also add a woodsplitter at some point. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, Todd

The 4wd will be a nice option if you add a loader. The powershift transmission is also nice with a loader. IMHO for an extra $2000 I would go for the 2310d

Welcome , Very informative Folks here and quite willing to help out in any way, as for your question about which of the 2 tractors, most here will say if your plans are using a FEL then you might rather get the 2310-D as it will be a 4wd and be a more adequate tractor for the purpose and for any other purpose over the 1700,
BTW I have a 1700 with a FEL;)

That's the way I'm leaning but thought I would wait to see if anything came up good or bad about both models, thanks for the reply

Both models are almost bullet proof as long as you keep up the maintanence on them.

If you are going to use it with a Snow blower and a FEL then I would Lean towards the 4wd. Also if its very hilly .

That's pretty much top dollar for both units. Make sure it is in top condition

For your uses buy the 2310D. the 1700 is about to light to do any real tractor work, especially plowing. There is really no comparison, as Norm stated both prices are top dollar, it should be in top condition.
