I just joined this site today and you may have already made a decision but I thought I would reply just in case you have not.

I would highly recommend that you consider the Bubble-wrap aluminum foil that some others have already suggested. Just be certain that you use the perforated so that you have no moisture problems. The best place and best quality I have found can be ordered from a site in Texas. Web site to check it out and purchase is Insulation for Less : Prodex : Reflective Insulation : Pole Barn Insulation : Metal Building Insulation : Bubble Insulation. Register on their site and in a few days you will receive an email offering you a discount if you choose to order from this vendor. This insulation is very easy to install. no itchy skin. 1/4 inch thick, and can be used on the garage doors also. It is a radiant barrier insulation with radiant aluminum on both sides. It works by reflecting the cold in the winter back outside and the heat in the building back inside. During the summer, it works just the opposite. In the middle of the two sheets of aluminum foil there is a loe-E closed cell layer that serves as the insulating spacer medium between the two outer layers. It can be purchased in 4' 2' and 16" widths and comes in 700 sq ft rolls. I just paid $175 per 700 sq ft roll for the 4' perforated - plus shipping. I intend on using it in my garage. Good Luck with your project.

I assume you are looking at a simple saver sytem from thermal designs. It will provide you with a good deal of insulation, but it can be a pain to install. The vinyl is laid in first, and the insulation in pulled thru afterwards. Make sure that you are able to tighted up the vinyl before installing the final banding. Let us know what you end up with.
