I found a dealer with a 2005 DK35 that he is willing to deal on, $7000 with less than 200hrs. This is just for the tractor, no FEL or other equipment.

Any input would be appreciated.

Any warranty? Being sold as new or used?

I have an 05 DK35 and with a loader it was about $10,000 more than ye want for it know. Without the loader mine would have been about $14,500, so in 5 years the depreciation has cut the price in half.

It is being sold as used. Apparently is was a trade-in. I must admit I am curious why someone would trade a tractor with so little use.

Keep in mind you will be dropping about $3,500-$4,500 on a new loader.
If it low houred and clean it may be worth it you would have a nice tractor with a loader on it for 10k lees than a brand new one.

Yes but this is presumably the old DK35 so it is not the same as the DK35se. The old DK is still a fine tractor but the buyer should be aware of the model change around 2007.

I wouldn't really worry TOO much about why someone would trade it in with 200 hrs. Sometimes people buy too small or big of a tractor and have a change of heart :)

Not sure how important style is to you:) but I believe the older 35's had a blocky hood while the newer models have a sloped hood. Sure won't affect how the tractor runs or performs.
Do you need a tractor that size or something larger?

There are many bigger differences between the older DK and the DKse models than style. Electrohydraulic vs mechanical controls for PTO and AWD for starters. Larger more spacious operator station with better seat. Different engines and running gear too and 3PT set up is different. They really are quite different. Both are fine tractors, my point was just that anyone buying an older one should be careful not to confuse it with the newer version.

I have run both the older style DK 35 and the DK35se.
Both models use a switch to turn on/off the PTO. So there is no real differance there.
The SE model uses a push button switch to engage/disengage the 4 wheel drive and the older DK uses a mechanical lever. But the mechanical 4 WD on my DK goes in and out so easily that I noticed little differance there.
The only real differances I noticed on the SE model over the older style DK was the suspension seat, the 3 point control lever on the back of the tractor, the SE is availible in hydro, 3 range vs 2 range transmission, and the flip open hood that makes it easier checking the oil Etc.
The older style DK had a tool box behind the seat, Which I really like. The SE model gives up that nice feature.
