3038e pricing

Will be purchasing my first tractor within the next few months and was leaning toward Mahindra but the dealer didn't seem to be a good fit for me.
Contacted a JD dealership and was quoted $15,250 for a 3038e with hst. and industrial tires.
Quote on a fel with grapple, remote kit and installation was $6650. ( that will have to wait ) Everything is Canadian dollars and plus tax. Any feedback is appreciated.

Well, I paid more for my 3032e than that so I would say good deal.

Thanks for the clue on the 3038E and the 3032E. Hadn't realized these new models were introduced. Appear to be lighter weight than the other 3000 series, but with similar HP.
Have a fixed ROPS so that is a plus for me.

Here's the break down on my 3038e here in Michigan:
$13,700 for tractor w/loaded R4 tires, cruise, and draw bar
$3500 for fel
$828 for 7' rear blade
$1081.68 sales tax since it's not for farm use.

Beenthere, we must be careful about the horsepower rating. The torque ratings on these machines are reflective of the lower HP 3020 series machines, and these tractors have many fewer features and are not nearly as nice. They are solid price point tractors meant to compete in that market. I have expressed in the past my feelings on these machines but would not try too hard to dissuade someone interested in one to consider it--so long as they know the downside. John Deere and other companies have a habit of marketing their price point machines heavily on gross HP ratings which are generally calculated numbers that are meant for marketing only. Torque is where it's at and these machines are more in line with the 3320 at best in that department (the 3038) without the benefit of a 3 range hydro.

Thanks for the confirmation. I suspected that was behind these models.
Competition is good.
