Then every tree growing by a river or lake should tip right in....................channeling all that energy.

How come not even one of all these idjits that crawl out of the woodwork claiming they can dowse don't go collect the million bucks?

How come Shell, Exxon, etc. spend millions using scientifically proven methods instead of giving some rube with a stick a 12 pack?

If you can't comprehend the theory you can't be expected to believe the concept.
If you have to go to the extreme to support your argument....you have no argument...

It's like I've said...I really don't expect anyone to believe that there is something to it until they prove it to themselves...

as for your over the top excuse about trees along a river etc...since it's been pointed out that not everyone that tries it is capable of being successful this would indicate that we are talking about something that is only strong enough for the very sensitive to recognize...
...I'll bet even you can see a potted tomato plant grow in the direction that it gets the most sun from (turn it around and watch it grow the other way)...

The reason trees grow up is...the influience of the sun is perhaps thousands or even millions of times greater than that of other forces...

Ever seen an old building, roof or deck etc...notice that the nails have backed out some? (I'm not talking about the wood shrinking around the nails) what do you suppose causes that?

[lets visit 6th grade science fair]

Take a plastic cup (like a Tupperware cup etc) and rub the bottom of it on a flannel shirt several times real fast...now at the kitchen sink run the water so the stream is about the diameter of a pencil...move the bottom corner of the cup toward the stream...the "energy" in the cup will bend the stream of water without touching it...

Take a lemon (organic) and stick a piece of copper (natural element) in one side and a piece of zinc (natural element) in the other and hook a volt meter across the the two metals and it will indicate a positive reading...

Both are basic examples of unseen forces that exist everywhere in nature...are the skeptics so naive to think we have mastered every force that exists?, that there is nothing yet to discover ?

Apples were falling off of trees long before Newton figured out why...

just curious...how well do you understand the fact that the farther away you get from the Earth the less effect gravity has on you? I mean really understand..not just know that it happens...?

better yet...how well do you understand the fact that the faster one moves the slower time moves...?

That would be because the wood shrinks as it dries/ages but the nail does not. Sometimes wind and vibration from use can also do that.

Did I mention I was not talking about the wood shrinking around the nails?

I see decks all the time where nails are sticking up as much as 1/2 inch where the 2x decking maybe has lost 3/32 in thickness...

Ask any roofer about nails that come up through the shingles...roofing nails that do not get any purchase (go down in a crack etc) will work their way right up through the shingle...

Maybe they do at times!:D

Exxon does employ dowsers. The major oil company I referred to in a previous post was Exxon. The dowser was locating underground pipelines. If he didn't produce I doubt he would have been on the payroll for long. Exxon is about as conservative as they come.

Nobody answers this question, they postulate on some unseen misunderstood 'force'. How come the idjits don't go get their easy million bucks?

Here's the answer. They know they'll be proven fakes. That's an unseen force that holds them back.

As for Exxon employing dowsers, puh-leeze. If they think it works, why all the millions of dollars spent on proven methods, when they know of an easy and cheap one?

Now, I'm done here, I'm going to go dowse me up the winning lottery ticket.

Hey you guys..... how about my question about watermelons a whole bunch of quotes back. What makes the straw rotate! :)

...How come the idjits...

referring to others as "idjits" (what you mean is "idiots") because you do not believe in something that they know for a fact works (at least to some degree) says more about your own intellectual depth than it does about those you disparage by name calling...

BTW how about answering my question about how well you understand the fact that the farther one gets from the center of the Earth the slower time moves? huh?
