Hmm.. did a search on here and the NH owner forum and came up with just 11 threads, total. Most were in reference to the new 8n and not very much at all on the CVT transmission.
So, it's a new, new (read - wait at least a year before buying..??) development in transmissions for compact tractors. All compacts...?
Nothing comparable with JD compacts - that I've ever seen or heard about.
Some discussion comparing the transmission design to Deere's IVT (Infinitely Variable Transmission). I have heard of that transmission in the larger-frame, Deere Ag machines; 6000-7000 series Premium tractors.
Don't know how they work - mechanically - or how they operate in the real world, either; for that matter.
More efficient than HST? Less? Why? How reliable? If they're in the larger, Ag machines they can take a "lickin' and keep on tickin'" ??
More $$$ than HST?
