Get this one... it will do the job... :)

Sounds like it's more a question of "which one shall I buy" not "should I buy" but don't expect a great deal now that we have had all these storms this year. I doubt seriously that come the Spring thaw Implement dealers will have any blowers left to let go with bargain basement prices.

Two years ago I bought a very nice 60" 3 point Meteor (NEW) for $1400 towards the end of the season. Snowfalls overall were considered average but some heavy localized areas were noted. Around here we got plastered with snow. That made for a good buy for me.

One more storm and inventorys could dry up. Good luck to you and I hope you find one you like.

Last fall I paid $3400 for a 74" Blizzard with hydraulic chute. We had so much snow last winter that I was hard pressed to keep up with it. I wanted that snow as far off into the woods as I could get it. Well the Blizzard does that, must put light snow forty feet off into the woods. Wouldn't you know though this year snow is in short supply.

I have thought about this a great deal. $3K + for an attachment that gets used a few times per year and some years not much if any seems like a lot.
It just that when I built the new pasture and shelter I didn't consider the fact that i can not load up the shelter with enough hay to get me through the winter. of course the first year wintering the horses in the new pasture we end up with more snow than I have seen here in years.

I didn't think there was ever an occasion where you only got snow a few times a year in Minnesota!! :p

Actually we do get our fair share but I have and ATV that is really good at cleaning up the small stuff. The problem is that after a few 4" - 6" snows I now have banks lining the drive way and then the wind starts blowing and your drifted in.

You can find alot of blowers like that up here in North Dakota used for 800-1500 dollars. Sure they are 10 years old or a little more but they work well. As far as new goes, I would say the price is fair.

Picked up the same blower last year for $2100. It was slightly used ( 10 hours ) & drove 250 miles to get it. It has hydraulic chute control & I'm very happy with it.

Just a quick update on the snow blower purchase.
I got a Buhler/Farm King 740 (green). I am very happy with the way its built and how well it works. I could not get it painted to match the tractor but I don't really care as long as it does what it's supposed to.
