Snowing in South Carolina!!

Sitting here South of Charlotte NC near SC border drinking coffee and watching it fall from the trees. Sure is pretty. About 5 to 6 inches here, more as you go south.
TV station here was calling this event 'SNURPRISE' they kinda missed the prediction on the magnitude of this one.

I also got around 7 inches around my house. I live over in the Pine Ridge area of Columbia...Sorry you guys up North, this is a big deal for us Southerners!...However, now that it's over-you guys can keep the rest of it up there!

I'd way rather it would snow on a day off, not much time to play.
The drive home Friday night was an adventure, though. The Subaru acted like it had been made for just that sort of driving; the Ford van that pulled out ahead of me at Midway Exxon wasn't. For six miles up Hwy 601 I was talking to the windshield, "Let off the gas, let off the gas...NO! NO! NOT THE BRAKES!!!!"
I took an early turn and did some back roads just to get away.

P.S. The power was out from 10:30 'til 5AM. Not bad for the blizzard of the century.

Ok, had to revive this thread to mention that we had sunny skies and 65deg today here in the central part of SC lol!! This time a week ago we woke up to 7+ inches of snow here. Next weekend might be dumping snow again.

Maybe not that far south but the forecast for the NC line north on I-77 don't look too good after Thursday. Fancy Gap, VA After Tuesday further north. Rocky Gap, VA Or in WV. Beckley, WV
