Anybody have a Kawasaki Teryx?

At this point I am using the standard bumper hitch the truck came with on the rare occasions that I pull the 5x8 trailer I already have. Is 23-2400 pounds too much for that type of hitch?

It should be printed on your bumper what the specs are but most 1/2 ton trucks are rated at 5,000lbs tow capacity and 500lbs of tongue weight when using the bumper mounted tow ball.

So what is the reason for parking the trailer in the garage? Wouldn't it be just a couple of minutes to unload the Teryx and park it in the garage leaving the trailer outside...?

Can you park the teryx on the trailer and leave both in the garage? Use less space.

I have both a Teryx and a 6x10 trailer...both for sale at Home for details. Moving out of state.

Having said that, I hauled the Teryx almost all of the time with a 20ft flatbed, which you can also see at that site. The 6x10 works, and I have towed the Teryx with it several times, but that did not tow as well as the flatbed with the Teryx's weight. It pretty much fills the 6x10.

If I had a clean sheet to work with, my preference for just the Teryx would be a 16ft tandem axle bumper pull. If space is an issue, and you are not pulling frequently, go for the 6x10.

I can leave the Teryx on the trailer parked in the garage. Its just the couple of motorcycles, cnc mill, tools, freezer, storage shelves, sandblast cabinet, workbench etc. are competing for the space. When I had the 5x8 trailer in the garage it seemed to fill all available space.
The way my house sits on the lot I can't put the trailer in the back yard and if I leave it in the front yard it will generate complaints from the homeowners assoc. and perhaps get stolen when no one is at home.
I looked at the bumper it does indeed say 500 pounds tongue and 5000 pounds total trailer weight so I guess at approx 2400 pounds Teryx and trailer it would be at least good enough to start out with.

if you have a standard size door it wont fit.height of the teryx with my roof on only clears the top of the door by inches.

why not just load it in the rear of the truck and forget the trailer? put 2two 2x12's on the bed where the wheels will be at to help suport the tailgate and thats it.

I am going to rent a tralier to go pick it up from the dealer and will figure out the particulars for ongoing farm transport as I go.
