Yes I did punch the square but I have to admit I forgot the store test at the time. I tape up the male joints very well. The female part of the units are what I was referring as leaking. No matter which of the adaptors I use there is always an air leak. Not bad on some but others say no more.

I made the comments because I agree with you it is always worth letting others know of bad goods. We can say the same for some stores here, there is simply too many bad products and tools about.

The freight company I work for delivers a ton of Harbor Freight and other like sellers for one of our partner carriers. I'd be curious to see how many of these shipments are missing parts because VERY rarely do I dieliver something that I can actually call "clear". I'll never figure out why shippers can't catch on that when you put a heavy steel item in the cheapest form of cardboard available, it's NOT gonna make it.

I work at UPS and just about anything oversized like a scooter or whatever in a Chinese cardboard box is going to look like crap by the time it gets to you..

It's some of the thinnest stuff around.

Let's put a 250 pound hoist in a chi-com tissue paper box, throw it on the tail of a sprung trailer, move it at 5 different terminal locations, and then make the driver feel half an inch tall by delivering it in a bucket. All so we can call and complain to the carrier about the condition of the freight!

I love my job!

I agree. But in this case UPS really screwed up. They avoided this at all costs.Lied about there not beign a claim, which was confirmed through Harbor Freight.I was nice and made the handle I could have easily goten a return label and shipped it back and then try and see if the second one could get here.
I once bought a huge bird cage ,tracked the three boxes to within 30 minles of my house all three were scanned, but then one was "lost" in the last 30 miles to my house. The sendign company sent another cage via FEd Ex and that made it with only the leg bent in. I was able to make one good cage and had left over parts.

Yeah and god forbid if the box gets wet.. I've seen stupid ways people ship.. put metal bars in boxes and the stuff inside shifts and punches a hole in the box..

But back to the tools that don't suck..

I wished I picked up a rubber air hose and not the PVC 25Ft it's impossible not to have it try to roll back up.. I mean it pretty good but I feel it's going to be in my way a few times.

Oh yes on the hose. specially if its less than 90 degrees out.I do find the PVC is great to plump inside the garage though due to its 'rigidness'.I mounted one of these - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices
On a 2x8 piece of wood and made a wood guide to guide the hose when rolled back in. It makes a great portable spool.
I recommend this reel.Only thought is it sometimes has the hose jump one of the 'arms' but if guide in its fine. (6 years use so far)

I don't buy anything from HF, TSC, WM or the like that I need to RELY ON for repair jobs.

Having said that, I have made a number of purchases from HF and TSC that have worked well.

HF: 3/8" benchtop drill press, 120v angle grinder 5", assorted files, set of casters, a box of air fittings.

TSC: box blade shank, Slime, drawbar, 3pt fertalizer spreader (real POS).

Most of those items have served me well for many years, I don't use any often or hard and that may be the reason.

On that note, I've bought the black rubber air hose that HF sells, and it's GREAT! It is better than the PVC by far and only slightly more expensive. I also have a few pieces of the whip hose sitting around. They're handy for hooking compressors in tandem, etc.

The hose I got has "Goodyear" printed on the outer hose jacket. Even in subzero temps, it stays flexible.

Looks like I will be buying that air hose myself too maybe I can use the 25' pvc to connect to the rubber hose I just wonder how much the pressure is going to drop? Should not be much right? not like it's 100 Ft.

I guess it depends on what kind of CFM you're trying to force through it. You shouldn't see much drop unless you're pump a high volume of air.
