Rest in Peace
They get 10 years of solitary confinement in an Isetta.
I considered buying a used Isetta from Bill Utter Ford in 1958, kept it over the weekend to run around in. It was a fun toy anyway.

There's no statute of limitations for Simca owners. They get 10 years of solitary confinement in an Isetta.![]()

I've never actually seen a Messerschmidt car; only pictures. I think I'd rather have the Isetta.![]()
You talking about the one where the front of the car is the door?

Yep, there was a time I could "fix" most problems with a car, and now I wouldn't know how to do hardly anything to one, but I, too, prefer these modern machines; more reliable, more comfortable, etc. Mopar? We really liked our 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner, but with my wife driving it to the grocery store or the kids' school; i.e., short trips around town, the points lasted pretty well, but the spark plugs would be carboned up and have to be changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. I'm happy to not have to do things like that anymore.![]()
The rumours I've heard is that all the older Simca cars simply disappeared while sitting in the garage or driveway. In the garage there was usually a red pile of dust but outside this blew away. The real lucky owners were able to graduate to one of these.![]()
