Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Another Noreaster snow storm -- this time New England

We got about a foot and a half yesterday. It was a good workout for the new Blizzard 74". The snow is heavy and wet but not slush. It was very slow going, work the machine through it a bit at a time. It didn't blow as far as dry stuff but I sure moved a lot of snow.

Today is supposed to be heavy wind gusts from time to time but not a lot more snow.

And yes, we are much better equipped to handle snow than down south. Roads are plowed off quickly and repeatedly even the back dirt roads. Everything functioning normally but I guess a lot of people did lose power. Heavy snow bringing down limbs on lines. Probably more of that today.

Late morning here in Spencerport NY (just west of Rochester). Not much to speak of. This is looking out the front of our house. You can still see a little of the grass poking through the snow.

I may go out just to play on the tractor after work.

I was wondering where all the snow went... we had about 150" last year this time, and are down about 70" below normal so far this year. Not that I am complaining, just way different winter than we are used to.....

OK... I'm now ready for spring.

18" yesterday of about the heaviest snow you can get. A full day to get it cleaned out ...sorta.

Three shear pins replaced on the 3 pt. blower just due to the heavy snow .... the roof had to be shoveled off and several huge piles of snow created that should melt by April .... and this morning it is snowing again with 12" expected.

Imagine if all you had was a shovel.

Sounds like what you got is now on our doorstep. Right now it is pouring rain. The higher elevations are getting snow. Sugarloaf is reporting 14 inches with another 25 inches to fall tonight. South of the mountain...we are expecting 12 to 16 inches of wet snow to fall tonight.

This is the first real wet storm of the year and I am cautiously anxious to see how the Deere handles the mother load of wet and heavy snow. I'm going to go at it with the bucket.

By the way, I went with a metal roof 2 years ago. I will never go back to shingles again.!!

Only 7" heavy snow,but 25 miles away 20" of cement snow..yikes.

OK technically not in New England, but here in Orange county NY theres a good 12"+ on the ground and its not letting up. I'm thinking 18" by the time its over. The company I work for let all 3500 people leave at noon. I plowed my driveway, and my neighbors this afternoon, and expect to be doing it again in the morning. Bring on spring!!!

No major storm here to speak of. My area saw maybe 3" +/- and now its been mostly rain with some snow flakes mixed in every now and then.
Nothing to even plow. I haven't taken the cover off the tractor in weeks.

About 2 feet of wet heavy slick snow on top of our foot and a half base here in Addison County, Vermont at about 1500 foot elevation. So slick I got the tractor down the drive but couldn't get back up again. Gotta get some chains!

No snow here. We are getting a mix right now (I hate that stuff) I have a snowmobile party planned weeks ago happening this weekend and there is next to no snow in our fields. I could go for 6" now and then be done for the year.
