Hello all,
Well she's here! After months of research and deliberation between makes, models, needs, and wants I pulled the trigger last week on a new BX 2660. She arrived today and I've spent the last 2 hours getting to know her. I won't go through the detailed thought process that brought me to the BX2660 as the final choice or this would be a Looooooooooong post. But, I'm thinkin' she fits my situation and needs for the near and hopefully long term future. I live on 4 acres. Approx 1 acre near the front of the property around the house needs to be lanscaped and then maintained. the middle 2-1/2 acres behind the house is wooded with part being (significantly) sloped, and the remainder is bottom land. Soil is a mixture of sand and loamy soil over clay in the front and loamy soil in the back.
Attachments included FEL, 60" MMM, 48" shredder, and box blade. Attachments on order are bro-tek skid plates. And the near future need for one or more of the following is already apparent -
landscape rake, ratchet rake, toothbar.
My heartfelt thanks go out to all the TBN'ers here who unknowingly contributed massive amounts of combined experience and knowledge to help me with my choice. I really didn't toss any questions out mainly because I was able to learn from questions already asked and answered. I'm sure there will be questions in the future as I get to know how to use her effectively.
