I am looking to buy a 4-6 inch pto chipper. I would like to get some opinions (pro and con) on Wallenstien and Jinma (or others) in terms of durability, quality and price.
Thanks, BMt.

I bought a used Wallenstein BX-42 and love it. It is a bullet-proof design, very easy to field strip for cleaning, and it chew limbs and spits them out like a dream. You wouldn't be disappointed.

I've got the Bearcat. Simple, tough, I love it - wouldn't trade it for the world.

I have sold hundreds of the Jinma woodchippers over the years and they are a great value, last year I started having a chipper made that is similier to the Jinma but has some items that Jinma did not want to include such as, 360 degree discharge chute, adjustable leg height, upgraded heavy duty feed driveshaft (weak point on the Jinmas) 8" capacity.
They both have a 135 lb flywheel, 5-drive belts and 2-reversable 10" blades

All the parts for the Jinmas and the Tomcats are on the shelf and can ship the same day in most cases

The chinese chippers are going to be half the cost of other chippers on the market, and most will agree that they are worth it .Most chipper owners (reguardless of brand )use there chippers a few times a year then they sit for the rest of the year, you have to decide what you want to pay for this type of equipment

We are currenty out of chippers right now,the ice storms in the East cleaned us out,I have a new container on the water now,if any one is interested I recommend getting on our buyers list as they will sell out fast

Here is a pic of our TomCat chipper

Take a look at both Valby (expensive, but great quality) and Woods (own one, great implement!).
Both Quality built North American (US or Canadian) products...

I have a Wallenstein BX42. Great Machine and very simple straight forward design. Self feeds quite well and does everything it's advertized to do.
Quality made unit, easy to service and maintain and not as heavy and bulky as some of the other units.

Affordable, since you are an approved advertiser, can you quote a price for your Tom Cat? If not PM me with it.
