:laughing: That's on the list when I have extra $$$$, if there is such a thing. For right now I just use an old bucket with kero and a scrub brush. The wife loves going there for all her lawn junk{oops I mean stuff}. She bought a crapload of those solar marker lights, and now she wants more :confused2: :confused2:

Wally World has OK solar lights for cheap prices, beats some of HF lights. Check the garden dept.

I think most of us agree. For tools you earn a living with, buying the best is money well spent.

But HF's emphasis is different. A lot of their stuff is cost-effective if it survives a single use. The float charger is a steal at $3.99 and the $179.99 I paid for the powered drain snake cost the same as the $180 I pay for a weekend Roto-rooter callout, when my tenant unexpectedly declares an emergency.

Well I went there yesterday (Saturday) again, the place was packed, I didn't really need anything and didn't buy anything, I was the only one not buying anything though.

But at least this time I had a different attitude, less critical thinking about the cost effectiveness of even a single use idea.

I would of got a couple things but forgot to bring the coupon, There was a little electronic operated safe my son wanted for $39. and I wanted a bolt on bumper mount receiver hitch tube for ~$20.

Well I went there yesterday (Saturday) again, the place was packed, I didn't really need anything and didn't buy anything, I was the only one not buying anything though.

I went friday needed a wire wheel and some paint strippers for my grinder. The place was packed then also. What I really like are the folks that stand in middle of the isle reading the flyer, and they won't move

Don't knock the electronic fly swatters. They provide hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike on sultry summer evenings on the porch. There is a great deal of satisfaction to be had listening to the pop of a tormenting mosquito as it is vaporized.

We get them by the dozen as gag gifts when they go on sale for a couple of bucks. :thumbsup:

My first posting here, but what a fascinating thread. Here are some HF stuff that I have liked and I haven't seen mentioned yet.

-The shallow yellow plastic funnel sorting trays. I use them daily.
-Giant callipers, both internal and external. Low tech, but they do the job.
-Small plastic levels with magnet base. (these were on a prev post)
-Scizzors. All different sizes, cheap and sharp. We got them all over.
-Dust mop. Great for a wedding anniversary gift. My wife was speechless.
-Three tray metal service cart. Has big castors. Well made, esp for the $.
-Small cable cutters. These are good for getting your dog out of a fur trappers trap. For real, this can happen around here.
-Large aluminum dust pans. I got three around the shop.
-Dust off brushes. Good quality and so cheap I got them on every bench.
-Extra flexible extension cords.

Basically, lots of good shop accessories that make the projects easier and the work area more civilized.
