Just finished removing the second line that I've had fail in 163 hours. First it was the "up" side of the FEL roll, now it is the "down" side of the boom. Both have been the factory crimp on the QC end.

I'll have to drop it at the dealer in the A.M. The service manager had said last time NH expects them to carry the whole batch of lines and replace with their goods. Dealer refused because of the huge outlay in stock cost for an obviously inferior item. They replaced it with a heavier line they made right there.

Anyone else having this issue?

Can you post a good pic of the failed crimp? Did the hose pull out of the crimp? See if you can tell what brand hose it is. Then, we can look up the proper crimp diameter for that size crimp. Do you have a good measuring tool for measuring the crimp, down to the thousandth?

There's not much to take a picture of. The first one drizzled from between the out shell and crimp. This one actually makes a high pressure squirt. There's no fraying or any other sign of failure. I'll get the mfg. when it's light out.

I had to replace one of the FEL lines on my NH2320 but it was my fault.

Anyhow, the service rep at the dealer chuckled when I gave him the part# for the specific hose I needed, he said they just make new ones, which they did while I waited.

I have replaced all four curl/dump hoses on my NH 16LA FEL, but none of the raise/lower hoses. I'm sure all my hoses failed due to pressure spikes as I hit something while working with my toothbar. There is no pressure relief in the system if the joystick is in the neutral position.

The hoses made locally by my NH dealer have held up really well. I keep one spare new hose now just for the next bursting event.:(

I had a stick push my power steering hose into the harmonic balancer. Squirted Hyd. Fluid every time i turned right. Went to dealership with part number. They told me the hose was $43.00 and would have to be ordered. But, they said they could make one for about one third the cost. Ended up geting the local made hose (which I plan on putting on today) and 2 1/2 gal of hyd. fluid for the cost of the "NH brand" hose price. :)

They were able to get the size and fittings from the part number and the whole process didn't take but 15 min or so.
