It's an unsold 2008. Only drove it around the farm for 20-30 minutes as it was cold and windy.
This thing is going to be really useful for fence and chores!
Pics attached - it only looked this clean for about 10 minutes after arriving atthe farm. ;o{

Do enjoy-we have your Teryx's slower cousin, a 3010 Trans Mule diesel. Want to do a tortise and hare race?

That's a sharp looking ride, i really like the looks of it. I'm not sure what your grounds like, but one of the first things I'd do is get some slime in the tire to prevent flats.

Its got some gittyup to it. ;o} You get going fast pretty quickly.
With the short wheelbase that has led to a seat puckering moment when it got loose in the mud and started drifting towards the fence......
I like driving it when the ground is soft as it does not tear things up as much as the tractor.

Very nice!! How's it run?

I have a 2008 Teryx, and I used it for ranch work, and there are a few things I suggest you do. You can see my Teryx at Home.

First, I have aftermarket tires, which makes this worse, but fender flares really help keeping mud out of the cab.....a lot!

I would put on a winch....I've used my for so many things.

You will get a lot of mud behind the seats. A redesign of those rubber flaps by attaching to the bed was done in 09...not sure how well that work, but I solved by another route. I fabricated a piece of metal that covered that area, it stopped 99% of the mud from going there. You will want to do something for sure.

I fabricated flat bed rails to put over the bed. Helps strengthen the rear fenders. I cracked one pretty bad, some fiberglass repaired it, but my ranch use is hard on the rear fenders. As added strength after doing this, I put bedliner over the tops of the bed rails and in the bed. Turns out I really like it after doing that.

Finally....I would like to put in a gas gauge. I have not done so yet, but the lack of it, has caused me to hoof it more than I like. I've ran out of fuel 4-5 times now. You would think I would learn, but fuel use is inconsistent, idling, winch work, etc, and with it in use regular every day, you just lose track. Having said that, my use is changing with the ranch up for sale...so not sure I'll ever install one, but it really is needed.

BTW...once you learn to power slide in the mud....big long slides...you'll have even more fun.

Thanks for the tips!
I can already see that this thing will get dirty in all kinds of nooks and crannies.

I have had a '09 camo version for about a year. The Teryx is a very good machine. A little for stiffer suspension than a polaris but I was aiming for more sport than utility. My only negative is the solid rear axle can be hard on grass and turf. I wish it had more of limited slip or self locking rear end. The front axle variable rate with full or partial lock is a nice feature, but when I engage the front, I am wanting the max traction and the limited slip front is not as useful IMHO.

The EFI and instrument cluster (including fuel gage) is now standard on the 09s and newer. I was hauling 8 men across CRP land hunting last fall and it handled it well. Still had more suspension to go!

The engine oil is a bit of pain to change. Go to one of the teryx forums and find out how to change instead of using the manual. The easiet was is to remove nearly of the bolts in the main skid plate. Leave on bolt near the right front of the skid plate, swing the plate to the side and the filter is much easier to change. It is extremely difficult to reach using the manual.

I drive in CRP and grass. I had to place an aluminium window screen cover over the radiator screen to keep out the seeds which were plugging my radiator.

If you have the 1/2 windshield, raise it up 2" to let air flow through in the summer to get rid of the heat build up in the cab area. The heat build up in the 08s is worse compared to the newer models.
