Hi to Everyone,
I am an Englishman living in rural South East Bulgaria with my Russian wife and three dogs, (cats are coming soon). We have two Lada Niva cars, one BMW Dakar Motorcycle and we are building a new small house before renovating the old house and barns.
We have about an acre of land and an option on more if we need it a little later. The plan is for us to be as self-sufficient as possible. Obviously, I have lots of work around the house and land, from digging trenches for water supplies, sewerage septic tanks, drainage, general land rotation, snow clearance, moving large rocks, putting in fence posts, recovering fallen trees and a host of other things. I have been hiring a guy with a mini JCB to do the trenches and dig the septic, but came to the conclusion that if I could find a suitable tractor with power take off points and the right attachments then, I could do all of the work myself instead of having to invite contractors and probably save myself money in the long-term.
Hence, I found this Forum and I know that this part is a non Tractor question part of the forum, but I would appreciate some pointers on where to start looking in amongst all of the numerous sub-forums these Boards contain.
We get very muddy spells here too, even too much for the Nivas so a Tractor could become my sole vehicle of transport during deep snow and deep mud. Not got buckets of money to spend so, need value for money, ease of maintenance, spares and implements that don't take all day to change.
