This is another brand you may want to check out, they have dealers in your neck of the woods. The Ruff Neck Tandem Dually Flatbed is another quality trailer that has some nice standard features, like LED lights and several dovetail/ramp options to choose from. Check out the Informational Video on the site.

The time is right, and I need a bigger trailer to haul around My toys. I am leaning to-wards a 20+5 18,000#goose neck. The problem I have, Is that I live close enough to NYC (90 miles,) that everybody thinks I'm made of money. These guy around here,Are way out of touch with the rest of the country on prices.......I want to know where I can get the best deal on a trailer within 500 miles from 12771zip? any dealers out there feel free to jump in. I will take any advice on these goose necks, since this will be my first one.
Call Dale Gray at Sweet Rivers Trailers...888-593-9663...excellent variety on some of the best built trailers I've seen and his price is hard to beat. All LED, sealed wiring and harnesses, lots of available options and will work with you on getting it delivered or will meet you somewhere with it. I've bought from him and would and do highly recommend you contact him before making a final decision. I think you'll be pleased with the level of customer service, price and knowledge base. He's in Mt. Croghan, SC. I would buy from him again in a heartbeat...no concerns whatsoever. Stand up, straight shooting kind of guy.

Okay so let me ask a question.....
You say you have a F350 and a CDL?
How much do you think you can license you combo weight for?
You know you won't even be able to license high enough to even need a CDL.
I am almost sure a max combo weight on a F350 is 24,500 and that is a dually.
I'm thinking you will not legally do what you want with your truck and trailer.

I run a F450 with a 20k goose neck
My truck weighs 10k
Trailer weighs 8k
I'm licensed for 33k
So if you do the math I can only payload out at 15k
I sell 4 lines of trailers and every year we do DOT seminars so people can understand the laws.
Feel fee to call or ask any questions.
I know NY,NJ and Pa have very close laws

I was shopping around for a gooseneck last year. I knew what I wanted, and even the price I wanted to spend. I looked and called dealers between the East Coast and Iowa, the 1 dealer that would deal with me a bit was from Iowa. I almost pulled the trigger, then made a call to Trailers Midwest out of Elkhart, Indiana. I talked with the owner, Steve. He made the deal I wanted, ordered the trailer brand new, stood by everything he promised, and was absolutely the best dealer out there that I dealt with.
His contact info; 574-206-8000
I have a Load-Max 25+5 triple ramp tandem dually with 12K axles and love it. This is my 3rd Load-Max, 1 BP and 2 GN's.
I would proceed cautiously with the triple axles, I almost bought one, ran a thread here about triples vs dually's, and opted for the dually's. Glad I did....
Good luck!

Well, I looked back through my posts, and I don't see anything in there where I said I was concerned with how legal it had to be. I just got a whole bunch of info from guys, who run 26000# rigs, with a truck like mine. I want to be safe, and as legal as possible. I am I big boy, and if I have to move a full sized hoe with my truck, I will. If I get caught, and it happens to be illegal that week, I won't cry. I do not, want to endanger the public. I want the best equiptment I can get. The only difference between me, and these guy from the midwest, is that thier states support the working man. I unlike NY. If I can only legally register the combo weight for 24000#, I will. At the end of the day, I have to "get er done."

Thanks again for the good info, and leads. I have called several of the dealers, who were recommend. I also spoke to the fellows at Gator made, and listed all the concerns I had, in regard to some posts on this site. I was assured that the trailer, is painted top to bottom, no scotch connectors are used. All lights are directly wired. I am still waiting for my copy of the Lancaster farming news, that was recommended on this thread. Thanks for the info, and keep it coming. I hope to buy, in a month or so.

I didn't mean it as you can't do it, I just meant it as if you were one of my customers wanting to buy something...In the end of the day I will still sell a customer anything he or she is willing to pay for but a little lesson on right and wrong will always go a long way.
I will be the first to admit that I am not always in compliance with the laws.
Just trying to help.

How flexible are trailer dealers on pricing? Are they like vehicles, or are prices firm? I'm also in the market...but unsure what type of trailer I will buy yet. But just this morning I stopped at a local dealer and did some price checking, and was wondering then....is there dickering room?
