My mouser is being harassed

Early this morning a bobcat was walking along our porch in front of the window about 2 feet from me.

One of those killed a rabbit just outside our front door a few months
back. Funny thing is, you go outside to shoo him away, and he (she?)
turns around and gives me the evil eye before sauntering off with
lunch in his maw. Other bobcats I have seen have also been in no
hurry to run off when they see me. I wonder when I will see a
mountain lion....

Those are the ones you need to worry about.

Although infrequent, bobcats will take out housecats (they really like chickens:licking. Unless rabid, not much of a threat to humans. Little yappy dogs are probably in some danger though

I think you may end up missing a cat if the bobcat gets a chance... Our kitty went missing last spring, coyote or red tail got her I think. She was very aware and would keep an eye out for the redtails and stuck to the edges of the property or right on your heals and wasnt afraid of letting you know if you got too far out in front when walking out to the woods.

I had what I can only saw was a MIXED breed cat, I picked it up as a tiny kitten in a bush when tricker treating as a kid. It appeared to have been kicked by someone and was not even close to any homes. I decided to take it home & fixed it up and raised it. while it seemed a bit frightened and maybe even a little wild when I picked it up it was hurt & needed help. It grew up to weigh about 27 lbs and had tufts as well. It looked more of a domestic cat but had paws that would fit into the palm of my hand and I would grab his head with my hand and my thumb & pinky finger to scratch behind his ears :0 That cat went hunting with me every chance he got. though after walking a few miles I ended up having a warm scarf around my neck on way back home lol. I dont ever remember that cat making a MEOW noise but would pur more like a dog snoring lol

My sister got out of her car one with her CHIWAWA 12 lb dog and the cat stalked him in the yard causing my sister to scoop up her dog and run for the car with the car right on her heals. She closed the door in her car and the cat was standing on its back legs looking into her chevette at the dog licking its chops growling a low "That thing looks TASTY growl" lol

He also sprayed the car last week and I ended up having to power wash the car in the rain because the smell came in the vent every time we started it that day.

There was a picture and an article in our paper recently about a bob cat that was on the wall of the willow island locks and dam (ohio river) and on a barge.

Early this morning a bobcat was walking along our porch in front of the window about 2 feet from me. I shooed him away and finally found my prize mouser (domestic cat "Gray2") cautiously coming out of the woods.

I was talking to my neighbor the other day and he was telling that our neighbor across the road had installed a game camera in his back yard a while back.
There was what appeared to be a black panther in one of the first picture taken by it .
That's erie because those things aren't supposed in this part of the country.

I would check with local vets and/or wildlife officers for their opinions. I think it would be cool to have it hanging around but not if it is a threat to my kitty or my other animals.

Don't know, but it repels humans very well, wow does it stink!

He sprayed an old patio chair cushion and I was down wind from it this afternoon. Had to bag it and take it behind the barn.

My poor cat. He must have been really traumatized this morning. He's been inside all day refusing to go near a door and goes from window to window skittishly looking for Bob.
