XUV windshield questions

Any poly windshield is going to scratch very easily. It’s just the nature of it. I don’t have any experience in the protectants. Maybe they help, they sure couldn’t hurt. Dirt and rain make it difficult to see out, then when you try to wipe it off so you can see, you scratch the plastic. On the plus side, they do help when driving through wind and rain/snow. However, $300 is a lot of money for something that WILL scratch.
Mine spends 90% of the time sitting on the garage floor. I only use it when I need to.

I have a John Deere 850D XUV, I have the JD plexiglass or polywhatever windshield they sell at the dealership for $300. I also have the JD roof they sell at the dealership. I love the roof, but I hate the windshield. I dont have doors on mine though.

The problem is like was said before, its gets dirty quickly, and you cannot wipe it with anything. Also, because there are no wipers you cant see at all when its raining...it fogs up when its cold, and if you happen to go through mud or get it dirty, you have to have special rags around to clean it.

I never use it. If its raining and I need to be on it, I put on a raincoat, and some safety glasses and go. I really liked the idea of the windshield keeping the mosquitoes out of my mouth, but in reality, all that happened was they were plastered on the windshield and I had to stick my head out of the side to see. That defeats the purpose.

I will however sell that dumb windshield to anyone who wants to pick it up in the Houston area for $100. Slightly scratched....thats 60% off new. Its that bad.
