There is a "scream" you can hear twice towards the end of the video. Can't tell if it is from the excavator or some one watching. The sound is a good distance from the camera.

Hard to believe he would have survived that thing rolling over that many times. It looks like the door flies off at one point. If he did not have a seat belt on I don't see how he could have stayed in the cab. Or the cabs designed to be have the machine roll on top of the cab?
It looks more like he was trying to dig into something that would not move and pulled himself off the edge. And yes, ROPS are built into the cabs and tested for survivability in accidents just like this guy had....push a brand new machine off a steep grade w/dozer and let it flop around. If he was belted in he should have survived but hard to tell how badly injured. You never know what they keep in the cabs with them and a lot of times that is what gets them not the roll over.

No two ways about it.... that hurt ! One would think a little more common sense would be displayed that close to the edge of the world. The way the engine sounds that was a well used machine. Didn't look like he could stop once it decided to continue down grade. Hope there was a happy ending.
