Well, I had a lot of fun today with my BX1860 and FEL. 40 yards of mulch, spread them around the yard and it was such a treat. That was worth $1000 in labor to spread. :)

I did not use a ballast but still no problem with turf tires, I would not have wanted to user my bar tires for this job.

I moved apx 25 heaping one ton dump truck loads of dirt that came out of the neighbors yard last Saturday...5 hours or so. not too bad. 24 ton of limestone on Sunday night for the driveway.

The free dirt was probably worth a grand or more...Don't know, but glad I wasn't using a wheelbarrow and shovel:eek:

These things a great to have around the house, eh?

Can you even imagine moving that much with a wheelbarrow???

I can't at this point, it would have been a very long and tiring day.

That amount of mulch would have put a hurtin' on you today without the FEL.

So how do you like the mini "dump truck", find the BX and RTV make a good pair.

And what if you could have loaded it on the trailer you didn't get yet and hauled it a lot quicker? :)

hmmm, interesting but could cut into my Kubota time. I kinda enjoyed running the FEL back and forth. :)

*The purpose of ballast is to help avoid upseting the tractor not to just give tires more tracton .
**Why not ?

The comment about the turf tires is not related to the ballast, it's just I am glad i switched the bar tires off prior to spreading the mulch. I think the bar tires would have done some damage to the grass with the number of trips I have done.
