Kioti unrest for lack of better words

JDA, are you trading up, don't like, or what? Just curious. I had a bad experience with John Deere products a few years back which turned me off,.......and of course, the price of green.

I believe he sold his property and does not need it anymore.
I have seen pictures of his DK55. It looked to be a very nice condition, low hour machine.

the traffic shows more about a sites design and search engine placement than it does anything to do with the product. Another site I work on would lead you to believe that TYM owns 70% of the market. Kubota, New Holland and Deere make up just shy of 90% by most estimates. That leaves the balance for everyone else. Its hard to make any real judgments from there as the other brands are very regional. Mahindra is bigger in the south, while Kioti seems to do better in New England. As of two years ago Daedong had posted on their website that they sold 8000 tractors/year in the US. The market is around 250,000 total units, thats about 3%. With around 220 dealers thats 40-50 per dealer average. Thats tough.

As for who is growing. I read a report from Chase (I think, it was one of the big banks) last week on the agribusiness industry and according to that Deere and Kubota are adding share. The rest are loosing. Granted, that report was almost totally focused on Agco, Deere and CNH.

Bottom line, no one really knows. Industry folks like myself wonder these things too.

Just curious, but as an owner of a TYM, what site do you visit that has lots of TYM owners? I'm a huge fan of TBN, but there aren't that many TYM owners in the fold.

Should get all your TYM friends to join & setup your own group, start by telling your dealer to let other owners know about TBN:thumbsup:

I think if you go to the Forums main page for several days and look at the number of people viewing each brand sight, that will give you some idea of the percentage of one vs another. You can't get actual numbers, but I think it gives a snapshot.
I remember there would only be a couple in the Kioti sight, but the numbers are growing. I have a Kioti, but like them all...I guess that's the kid in me.:)

From what I can tell our Pack numbers keep growing, and I wonder if there is a way to find out how many Kioti owners there are, and how does that compare to say 5 or 10 years ago. And how do these numbers compare to the other makes. are we loosing ground or moving it?

There are definitely plenty of folks looking at TYM products - and why wouldn't they - TYM makes good tractors for the money (IMHO). I was just curious about whether there are other internet tractor discussion boards that might have more TYM owners afoot. Don't worry Muhammad and the powers that be, I promise I won't cheat on you too bad :licking:
