Assembling a brush cutter

Went and got a 4 footer along with a BB yesterday and was taking care of the 7 year old as they were loading me up (you had to be there ) and didn't realize the cutter wasn't put together. Anyway, don't know if that is normal or not but this type of thing isn't my cup of tea. No book either, surely they come with one, need to go back and inquire about that. Doesn't look like a big deal but any trick or "don't forget" while I tackle this. Found an online manual for assembling a KK, so may use that just for a rough draft on certain steps.

Why would they give you a piece of equipment without an owners manual?

Before I jumped into it I went by this morning and they had it waiting on me. Good folks, just an oversight, now off to tackle it. Had to get some time with the BB this morning first.

I bought a KK brush cutter and was surprised it had no manual either. I managed to assemble it anyway with some difficulty, mainly because some parts didn't line up quite right.
When I got it going a whole buch of shredded paper and a plastic bag flew out from under it.
They had taped the manual under the deck in a plastic bag!
Would have been nice to know that beforehand:confused2:

ep.. last 2 mowers I got the manual was in the stump jumper pan.

No manual underneath but it was missing two bolts and the pictures in the manual showed different setups, ie. attaching the arms on the outside in one picture and on the inside of another. Only confusing part was the bolt that supposed to adjustable for the back tire. No way a bolt can go through the deck and bar from the tire due to the angle.

I'd have to see a pic of what you are describing before I could comment on that..

The online manual is the same as the one that is (generally) taped to the underside of the KK products. It takes a bit of study to assemble correctly...and will take a little effort to assemble the rear supports....but if you can follow diagrams and written instructions...you shouldnt have too much trouble. One thing to look at is that top link support....needs to be done right.

Also, you can sometimes assemble slightly different to fit a quick hitch....etc.

Those plastic containers they put on lots of new implements are WONDERFUL for storing the paperwork!! Actually, you can order the bolt-on plastic containers from Agri-supply and add one to any implement you have, if you want to. I'm planning to order a couple for mine, they're only a few bucks.

Even cheaper.. hit a chinese tool store and grab the air/water proof containers for welding rods... that and a couple large zip ties and you are good to go.. sturdy heavy plastic.. screw on lid.. good thick gasket.. opaque too. and best of all.. cheap.. last one I bought was like 3.99$
