It's unfortunate but this seems to be the norm now. I love my 6 passenger RAM with fold-up center console. I never thought I would need to fit 6 people in my truck but it comes in just as handy as anything when you put 6 four wheelers or sleds in the trailer and save bringing another vehicle.

On topic, I still think the Ford is the ugliest truck on the market right now...

you can still get it with the split bench to fit 6, I don't like the split bench because then i'd have room for my in laws

That "ugly" truck is outselling Chevy and GMC combined and the new Dodge sales are even down from last year. I am among the many who love mine.

63K!!!. Am I the only one that doesn't get it. The payment on that will be much larger than the average mortgage. The insurance will be outa site. A gas truck with a low gear seems a much more logical solution even if it gets 5mpg. Unless I was using it for business. I would love to have a new 450 but as long as I have a mortgage I guess it will just be a dream.

o i agree that the price on these things are crazy, the diesel option alone was just over 7k so you are still in the mid 50's for one with a gas v8.
Both of the trucks were the lariat model which gives you some fancy stuff, I'm sure the price would drop another 5 to 7k for the xlt or xl model
i really think after a month or two we'll see 10k discounts with some low interest rates.

it was kinda weird the two they had were more to the back of the dealer ship than up front. guess they wanted to thin out the 2010 first.

Heck 0% interest is still 600 a month for 60mos (assuming but not likely) no money down. Next thing is can I afford to fix it when it breaks after the warranty is up and I still owe big time??? Oh yeh they will gladly sell me an extended warranty for another trillion. New trucks are going to become a rich mans luxury or already is like a Cadillac or Lincoln.

Part of it depends on what dealers have in stock. When we were looking 3 years ago, the few Fords I saw were $10K higher than the Chevys. Two dealers had Chevys we liked, no Fords.

It a bit weird around here, I guess, for a rural area, the nearest Ford dealer is a hour away and had nothing in stock like we needed. The next closest was 1.5 hours away and was 10K higher in price. There are several Chevy dealers and two had exactly what we wanted.

I always thought Ford trucks owned the more rural markets but they sure don't around here.

I know it is human nature, but I have found it interesting how, when gas prices go up, people will buy something new that has better fuel economy to save $100 or $150 a month in fuel, but will spend $300 (or more) a month in payments.

Been there, done that (1979), very bad thinking.

Well I just stopped by a Ford dealer that had 3. 2 were Long Bed Regular Cab, a F-250 and a F-350 SRW, and one was a F-250 Crew Cab Short Bed. It was a Ranch King loaded. All were 4x4 gas 6.2L 3.73 gears with sprayed in bed lines and locking rear diffs.

The thing I do not get is why the idiot dealer ordered them with such low GVWR's. One was 9,200#, one was 9,600# and the Crew Cab was 10,000#. Come on, that is not a Ford Super Duty, that is GM territory. My 04 F-250 has 10,000# GVWR and my 06 F-350 SRW has 11,500# GVWR which is more like it.

The other thing is all 3 had the crap Continental Contratrac tires. They suck. I had them on my F-350 from the factory and would flat refuse them tires. They tried to deliver the 07 F-150 I ordered with them and I made them put the BFG's on it after have the Continentals on my F-350.

I guess the ugly thing is in your eyes. In mine Ford has had the best looking trucks for 20 plus years. Either way the only end the GM and Dodge guys see is the tailgate.
