Im looking for info on how to bleed my Ford 1900. I had done some troubleshooting and opened the solid fuel lines. First time this machine has been turned over in years, dont know what was wrong with it but i removed the solid fuel line and only got alittle fuel pumping out of the first nozzle. Thanks.

Double click last attachtment to see if that looks like your pump. The one shown is a 1700. Don't know if they are the same as a 1900.
Drain plug and level plugs are for changing the pump oil only and have nothing to do with bleeding fuel.

Hi and thanks for the response. The pump is a little different but close enough. I believe that i bled everything correctly today.I checked all lines for obstruction, bleed at filter, bled at screw at pump too. The only place that im not getting any fuel is at the solid fuel lines coming from the pump. I even removed the threaded fitting that the solid fuel lines ( there was a spring approx 1 1/2 inches long) I was afraid to crank motor with that removed but i got no fuel out of the pump. Im really at a loss. I just spent $350 on a starter for it. I purchased it not running and without history a few years ago. I gave it to my father-in law to use at his place. He's getting up there in age and im pretty much footing the bill on this machine. I dont mind putting in the $ for him but im not much for throwing my money down a hole either. From what i read on other posts the only thing left would be to remove pump and have rebuilt. I dont think its worth the chance it might be a lousy runner.
Hour Meter not working. There was a little bit of fuel pulsing from pump for a minute but stopped. No smoke from exhaust either. Other than that, there isnt much else that i know. Does anyone have a ballpark figure getting one of these serviced? Thanks.

Is the diesel tank valve open?
Unlike many normal 1/4 turn valve the valve handle should be 90 degrees in the direction of flow when open. Can simply take out the rubber hose from tank to injector to see flow. Get a cup to catch the diesel. if no diesel with manupulating the handle then the tank is plugged by fuel residue, rust. Can blow a little compressed air from fuel valve spout to clear the way as a temporarily measure to check the injector and then clean the tank. I had a piece of rubber from the cap that blocked the fuel.
