I hail from Central Kentucky. I have a dealer close by, so the issue is not access to new equipment. I should have specified I am looking for a deal on a used hoe.[/B] I almost fell out of my chair when my local dealer quoted $10K for a hoe and sub-frame kit. My 3510 is a 2004 model with 680 hrs on it. The price of a new hoe is too close to the value of the tractor. Can't do it. Working man with Champaign dreams on a beer budget.

The other thing people will need to know is the size or digging depth you are looking for.

Galen, thanks for the response/advice.
In an ideal world, I could find a good used Bradco/Mahindra 509 or 3375 with the Mahindra sub frame mount, since those are the two models specified as compatible with the 3510. Other similar models would be a Kelly 851 or a Koyker 85. Bush Hog, Rhino and others make similar models that don't appear to be as beefy. The 8 1/2 feet max. depth isn't as important to me as having a great deal of digging force at the bucket and dipper cylinders. That's where the Bradco and Kelly excel at like 5800~6000 lbs./force at the bucket and 2700~3200 lbs./force at the dipper. I will be using it to dig and pull stumps in the 4" to 12" range as I take out a wood lot to increase pasture space at my farm. I don't plan to do much deep trenching, although I realize that over all reach capability effects usability. I guess what is of primary importance is digging strength and correctly tying it to the tractor so I don't end up breaking the case into pieces.
I sure would appreciate the collective wisdom of you forum readers if you have advice for me. What I've found so far in used equip. is very spendy and the new equip. prices are totally out of reach for me.
Do you know of any other options short of hiring out bull dozer time? We considered that, but the impact disturbance from that on my hillsides always leads to erosion problems before the grasses can be reestablished.
