2011 Superduty are out! ! !

I sure would like to have one of those new super duty's but I just got my 03 paid off and not having a payment is really nice. I figger that my 03 with 85K miles on it is good for at least another 5 to 10 years.

The last two trucks that I bought were the last year models of a specific engine that Ford put out and I have had exceptional service from those vehicles. My 92 was the last of the 7.3's without a turbo and my 03 was the last of the 7.3's.

If and when I trade it will be after at least a couple of years with the current engine and tranny set up to see if any teething problems show up. I don't like to buy the first year introduction of any vehicle.

You are a smart man. I do the same thing.

Yes, the second dealer i went to wouldn't budge off msrp so i didn't even want to drive it (didn't want to show him i was interested) i guess we'll have to wait a couple of months for the "hype" to dye down for them to start dealing.

Get an X-plan PIN (go to the ordering forum on the Dieselstop website and ask - someone will give you one). I just ordered an F350 crewcab, King Ranch, dually, 4x4, diesel, camper package, 5th wheel prep, bedliner, etc. MSRP was $63.4K, with X-plan it is about $56.8K.

I followed a new F250 SuperDuty last saturday for about a mile in traffic. Temporary plates dated the same day. Was a real pretty trunk, although nothing I'd buy. Big tires with a tread pattern that looked like R4s??? The trailer hitch seemed very light duty for that size truck? MikeD74T

I watch all them. Pretty impressive.

Chris...just chiming in to pay a compliment, and not just because I've noticed that we tend to have the same outlook on things...but, anyway, It's nice to have someone who is a frequent poster that has such a broad knowledge base and the first hand experience to lend credibility to his experiences. When it comes to towing and tow vehicles you are obviously well versed and experienced. Keep up the good work...I always look forward to reading your posts...very informative. By the way, looking at your avatar gives me "boat envy" and always gets me thinking about buying a new one. My 21' Wellcraft is now 18 years old with only 217 hours and absolutely still looks new...has one very small scratch on the port side that occurred the very first time the wife and I unloaded off the trailer...I've never beached it and it has always been stored inside and meticulously maintained. Lot of good memories with that boat, but I've been thinking of stepping up a size or so...something in the 23'-25' range. I really like the looks of the Chapparal SS.

It's a Ford commercial, are you really surprised at the outcome? The spokesperson for Ford (Jim Rowe) is doing the test. Anyone can sway that test to their liking. Like I said, Ford is the king of Marketing...

Not ALL diesels, just those from companies that have no idea how to make one efficient and clean burning. No Urea tank on Cummins powered RAM trucks and they have met 2012 EPA requirements since the redesign in 2007. I heard the UREA tanks need to be refilled about every 4-6k miles depending on usage and will be about 2x the cost of an oil change. No Thanks!

They will last forever just like anything if you take care of them.

Thanks Brian.
