Folks
Was looking for an innexpensive hydrolic pressure gauge to use for my bx24 and some other equipment i have. I was wondering what you folks may have/use. While I dont plan on messing with the bx's settings I want to have one so I can have it as part of my normal maintenance check-up routine.

thanks

Northern Tool has inexpensive, accurate oil filled gauges in a lot of different configurations on the shelf, also Tractor Supply has a good selection as well as any adapters and fixed length hydraulic hoses you may need. NAPA also comes to mind.

any special type, calibration, min/max pressure rating I should be looking for? Also If I were to build my own for a bx24 do any of you folks know what type (brand) of hyd quick disconnects I need? The bx24 kubota uses a kind that I cant get at napa. I remeber having a problem with the quick disconect on my bx24 loader I had both ends of the fitting with me and the guy looked through the book, and shelf stock for quite a bit and could not find the exact match.

roma, what I did was I saw a liquid filled gauge on clearance at horrible frieght - oh I mean harbor frieght and got that. I borrowed the coupling from my backhoe when it was off for the test. Can't go any cheaper. ;)

If you want to order extra connectors, here is the info:
Snap-Tite coupler = 72C4-4F NPT
Snap-Tite nipple = 72N4-4F NPT

the pressure should be Factory spec. for hydraulic relief valve activation is from 1778-1849 psi.

there has been a few threads on this, try doing a search and you wil have a few hours of readings:thumbsup:
