I have a 5030 with a backhoe and fel. The backhoe bucket is 24" and can just barely lift when full with heavy soil. I was told that there is a way to increase the Hydro pressure to get a little more power to the hoe. Has anyone tried this? How do you do it? Thanks!

Have you had it checked to see if it is set correctly now?

I have a 5030, but don't know anything about checking the pressure, but I remember reading where some have increased the pressure a little; might check the hydraulics section; sorry.

First, is it an OEM hoe? If so, it is prob a BH90.

You need to get a guage to test the pressure....it is easy to do. You don't
want to mess around with relief valve pressure adjustments without a
guage.

The short answer is that there is a pressure relief valve on the hoe valve
block, but if it is set too low, that is also the pressure that your FEL will
see. Your FEL valve also has a RV, and that one could be set too low also.
If either is off, the lower one dominates.
