Bruce, I just ordered a YM4220-D with a Japanese loader from our supplier.
That's the biggest YM I have ever ordered, usually they are the FX s.

If I were rubbing people the wrong way then it would seem what I was having to say was at least somewhat true.

I guess that is of course one way to look at it. Another way would be that you were a little too forceful in pushing your opinion.

I never named names or anything, again Ernie decided to throw his prices out for debate and he got it, I didn't pick him out and never even said his prices were bad, I made a smarta$$ comment to one of his smarta$$ comments. but I ain't mad at no one and understand he was trying to make a point as well.

But you did question his honesty when you didn't like what he had to say.

I think the 10k range would be it if you were more honest about it instead of trying to make me out to be wrong.

You need to stop and re-read the forum as I was not the one who first mentioned the word "greedy" and never called anyone commenting on this thread greedy. The guy who started this thread seemed to be trying to save money and find a good dealer, I don't doubt these guys are good dealers. When I told him to find a used one for sale on Craigslist of course all **** broke loose.

First off, there are few things more endearing than someone telling me what I need to do. Exactly who were you talking about then when you said this?

Profit and greed as mentioned are two separate things.

Why are some tractor dealers choosing to go with a grey market yanmar to sell vs. selling used US branded machines?

Answer: They can buy them for a few thousand and mark them up ALOT...its not hard to see what's going on.

I guess we all should sit back and let the yanmar dealers rule house on here like always so no feelings get stepped on? we all are adults here, hopefully, so if your feelings have been hurt, I can apologize.

Personally I think the dealer participation on this forum is part of what makes this such a good forum. Although I may be wrong, it seems as though there is an effort under way to at the very least marginalize the dealers and possibly to even run them off.

I was referring to the dealers I have priced recently with outrageous prices...as in the $10,200 YM2610.....and if you read that first sentence again the key word would have been "SOME" tractor dealers...that SOME may be dealers who doesn't even know this site exist, but it is a YANMAR forum so where else can one rant about it?

Look dude every one has an opinion, it was just that, I may have questioned his "honesty" but not intentionally, I am not one to sit back and take sh*t, Ernie took a shot at me so I took one back. him being a dealer its only right to stand up and comment on such topics, but if you know your prices are not that high and I wasn't quoted that price from you then obviously I wasn't talking about you, so no need for the smarta$$ comments.

This is an open forum last I checked and everyone is entitled to comment as they feel, I don't see where any of my comments targeted one particular dealer or user, I was speaking in general, if you or a dealer get all torn out of shape over any comments then it may be best to not come back, lighten up.

I know when I lay down at night I sure don't lose sleep over an internet forum.

Are you serious now?

Did you not say yourself that $10,200 was outrageous?

"We" would be plural, doubtful you have that kind of pull, remember your their competition..

and the way you are acting (childish) you think I would buy parts from you?

Did you even read the post? I said I did not intentionally question your honesty and have no harsh feeling towards you or anyone else..this is getting comical.

Hey! I got it figured out now! Smoody why don稚 you start importing these Yanmars. With your two business degree痴 you can under sell all the dealers around and still make buckets of money! Everyone will just line up at your door and buy them right out of the container. With your line of thinking prices in Japan have remained the same the last five years or so. Same with shipping and everything else. Good luck Smoody can稚 wait to read your success story in Forbes!

And by not naming names you cast a shadow over all dealers.

Dude? Do I look like a surfer or something?

If that was unintentional, I would hate to see when you intentionally try to insult someone.

Ah, the old my way or the highway. Personally, I am having way to much fun so I think I will take what is behind door #3.

I know when I lay down at night I sure don't lose sleep over an internet forum.

Well you may tonight because I have a feeling the 1980s will be calling wondering why you are still using the term 'dude'.
