As has been said many times, Kioti sells BC tractors to re-badge. This is very common in the tractor/implement world.

Used to be common in the auto world too. Lot's of small cars that were really Mitsubishi became Dodges. Remember GM re-badging small cars and calling them GEO? Similar thing really.

I really, really doubt Kioti is selling tractors to Bobcat. If they are... their management needs replacing.

More likely Daedong is selling tractors to Kioti AND Bobcat.

I think you got it right there, Daedong builds to spec for both companies. Now something humorous on my Bobcat CT225 serial number plate it says Ingersoll Rand. So this must be the second gen of tractors? :laughing:

Not totally accurate. Kioti does not sell tractors to Bobcat.

Kioti is the USA arm of Daedong. In 2007 Bobcat was sold to Doosan (a South Korean Company). Doosan struck up a business relationship with Daedong (Daedong markets tractors under the Kioti brand name in the USA). Daedong now sells tractors to Doosan (Doosan is now the parent corporation of Bobcat). Doosan markets the tractors under the Bobcat name in the USA.

The decision to dump old inventory was a Doosan decision. Daedong had nothing to do with the pricing of those products. Some of those tractors were over 2 years in Doosan inventory. Doosan made the decision to dump them in the market. Doosan had purchased most of that inventory from Daedong in 2007. That's why some customers who thought they were getting a 28hp CT225 were still getting the old CK25.
