I certainly don't know but can't stop my fingers from typing :).

Tomorrow I'm picking up a 1993 F2400 with 509 hours. It has a 60 inch deck, power blower for grass collection and a hydrulic dump for the grass collector. The mower belt is brand new and he is giving me a spare. I'm a little concerned that the deck is not attached and I'll ask we attach and make sure all the guards are there. Price...$4200. This is my second Kubota, L4350 with bradco 9'.

I'm hoping to become best friends with HWP since his 2400 looks awesome with many times more miles than mine.

I have several questions but I'll only ask one now (hopefully PM with HWP), what is the best option for mower blades? Should I buy from a Kubota dealer or can I buy a generic?

My F puts a smile on my face every time I use it. Congratulations on your purchase. You may have stole it if it's in decent shape.

I guess I don't look at it as bragging. I think it is great to have a group to use as a sounding board. Especially when we enourage each other to do stupid irrational things. If I wanted negative input, I would ask my wife. Although she shocked me on this last deal.
Then when we make the deal we feel obligated to report back how it went down. Then hopefully we tell each other congradulations and assure each other we made the right decisions.
See this is not bragging, it is more like searching for reassurance that we are doing the right thing no matter how stupid it really is.
By the way if you haven't read my other post yet, I am not bragging but I bought a new L3700 today. So thanks for all the help, advice, and assurance.

Not bragging, sharing! Women can drive too, let her. What counts is that you have a tractor w/FEL, get ready for physics lessons!!, and bigger projects! Have fun and stay connected with the other half, they are your best ally! Congrats!

It prevents us from having "buyers remorse" when all the other guys slap us on the back and congratulate us.:thumbsup:

wrt - negative input - no kidding, how many times have we heard "Do we really need that?" :)

wrt - "it is more like searching for reassurance that we are doing the right thing no matter how stupid it really is".

We would never do that would we?? Or at least admit to our wives that we have.. :) :) :)

The buying experience that others post as well as features / options to include on a particular model and the reasoning behind a particular feature save a lot of time and future heart ache when it is done before hand and as part of a deal. The posting of purchase details are a way of giving back to the group and acting as a possible reference for others thinking about the same make / model down the road. Plus we like the pictures. :) Which reminds me I haven't posted many on the new M8540 that we already have over 60 hrs on... sorry!! :(

A person could also ask if posting the details of equipment in the signature file is a way of bragging as well. Guess it depends on how you look at it - personally I put it there so that if anyone has a question about any of the pieces, I would be more than willing to answer if I can. I have asked many questions of others based on that information in their sig files and have always had very good responses to my queries.

I don't see it as bragging. I (in the market to buy) look at as valuable info that can help a "noobie" ,like myself, make the best decision on which equipment will serve me best over the life of this big investment. I can take all the questions I have and get non-biased opinions on what each manufacturer has to offer. But that is just my take. I enjoy researching and asking owners of their experiences on TBY:thumbsup:.
