Fuel oil and water

I got a little lax in my fueling procedure and a couple of gals of water contaminated diesel fuel got installed in the Case, Drained the tank, changed the fuel filter, bled all the lines twice. The tractor is now running fine, my question is....... Did the water in the fuel damage anything? Is there something I should add to the next tank of fuel as a additive, any other actions should be taken that I may of missed? Found the source of the water and corrected that problem.:thumbsup:

What can get damaged from water in fuel is injector tips especially if the engine is warm. The water turns to steam and explodes the tips. If your engine is running fine you are in good shape. Companies make additives for removing water from Diesel but I am not sure who.

Thanks Roy, Have run out a tank & 1/2 of fuel seems to be running better then ever.:thumbsup:
