As Crash101 says above, the tractor has to be repositioned every 5-6 feet or so. When trenching a long distance, reversing the seat to move forward and then reversing it again gets to be a pain. I love my little Kubota BX hoe, but the separate seat on the Woods wood make repositioning much faster. Thats the only advantage for the Woods that I can see. Bota and Woods both make fine products.

Thanks again. I don't plan on moving tractor by trailer very ofter so that is not a serious concern.
The B76 I got a quote on for 7550 did include thumb. Got my attention re seat--I thought the B76 had a seat on backhoe itself--Is that incorrect?

With my ride I park tractor, drop FEL, put on brake, stand up on deck, turn around, grab ROPS, step onto rear tire, step to BH. Reverse to go from BH to drive. Sort of a little BH dance. A TRUE rotating seat which rotates while one sits in it would be nice but would take a much wider tractor.

I'd like to see a picture of a B7800 with the spin around type seat with the Kubota backhoe.

I've never seen such an animal...... only the B7800 with two seats, no different than with the Woods hoe.
