Unless you work next to top fuel dragsters I think they will work well for you.Are you saying the Carbon12's are noise canceling... I have tried sound reducing ear plugs in the past with my mower and they just didn't cut out the noise... and had to blast the sound on my ipod to hear.
I also like to be able to let my wife or kids use noise canceling when I am done and "in the ear" just isn't something everyone wants to "pass around".
But I would like some earbuds at work that would be noise canceling... I just don't see those words on their website (carbon12).

Trust me, the radio has to be turned up real loud just to hear it in a cab. I'm not even picky about my radio quality. I like to listen to talk radio while I work. The noise cancelling headphones sound like they would be perfect for me.
