I just wanted to be sure what model it is before I give Me. Green to the Green.
Still would like to be able to have it free wheel rather than dragging it in gear.

from the wheel base looks like a 755
do you have any idea where the serial number might be besides pto area.
this tractor is a bit rough around the edges and dosen't run at the time. cranks but won't start but I will worry about that later.
one further thing is there a way to unlock the rear differential manually?

thanks

There is a number on the right front side of the frame but I don't remember if it is the serial number because it is covered by my loader mount bracket.

Did you move the two-speed gear selector to the center Neutral position?

if the selector is where it should be everything is in neutral position. had tro drop the driveshaft to free roll the front wheels. will play with it further.
thanks

Then the MFWD (four wheel drive) is still engaged. The diff lock should not stay engaged unless it's stuck-and it only effects the rear.

The MFWD lever is just to the left of the seat. Pull it back all the way to disengage.

Hmm....No sheetmetal, no serial number....the skeptical side of me initially says "was this machine stolen and stripped to hide its identity?"

Obviously if you know the history, this is not the case.... My thing is...With the placement of Serial Number tags these days, theres really no way they just fall off accidently.

Another thing to think about...especially with that machine because they made them for so long...there were so many serial number breaks etc, that you could be in for alot of heartburn at the parts counter if you dont have the SN#

Well I became curious enough about my memory and removed that loader mount bracket to check under it. The factory serial number is in fact heavily engraved on the frame. It is on the outside on the right side very near the front of the tractor. I assume your tractor does not have loader mounts on it, but in case it does just remove the three large bolts on the wing mounted in that location. I can see no reason that s/n should not always be there unless it has been very purposely gouged out. That would be tough.

thanks, if it is gouged out I will be staying away from it. I don't need any visitors.

the hood and front cowling is there with brackets but no side panels.
my thoughts are the same as yours if numbers have been purposely removed.

thank you
