My user ID is in honor of my late son. He called me Pops. He LOVED playing baseball, and he was darn good at it. His number was 15. He drowned just a few weeks after his 15th birthday. That was nearly 13 years ago. seems like yesterday.

My wife joined a forum years ago as Betty and others so that if others of us wanted to post we could use the same Username. So when I decided to join this forum seemed natural to use may name and add others.

MY user name goes back to the old eight bit days, hence the shortening of quarter horse to qrtrhrs, lol.

I took the name from my now 25 year old Impressive bred quarter horse stallion who is, by the way, still "friskie" after all of these years, lol!

Started out in the firefighting division worked there for 20 yrs. then a health issue resulted in me becoming a chief mechanical officer (fire mechanic). now retired and bought a nice quiet (NOT) marina in Muskoka Ontario where I started collecting Kubotas Fire Mech:confused2:
