Ferguson F40 dual clutch fingers

Can anyone tell me the proper adjustment for the clutch fingers that the throwout bearing strikes?
Do I measure a certain distance from the flywheel to the fingers or what is the proper way to adjust them? The tractor is split and the clutch is ready to go back in. Don't have a book on this old Ferguson and don't know if they even make one.

I & T service manuels are available for your tractor. Well worth the money. They can be found or ordered at any good tractor parts store. They show the measurements for a gauge that can be made very easily to adjust the fingers. Alot of information to show you how to set up the clutch is in there. Their are three bolts that adjust ( using a feeler gauge .090 comes to mind) the inner PPA assembly for the transmission disc that the book shows, also need adjustment. A little extra info- the inner bolts that control the tran disc sometimes need narrowing after unit is put back together through the the hole in the bottom to make clutch work properly. This is a twin plate clutch and both plates need adjusting.
Mount the clutch onto the flywheel using a dummy shaft to line the spigot bearing up and tighten down. The inner adjusting bolts are set to .090".
The three fingers are set using a tool that you will have to make as suggested by Trac and is measured from the backplate on the engine.
If these settings are done correctly then no further adjustment should be needed apart from clutch pedal free play.
